2.      EARNINGS/(LOSS) PER SHARE

The calculation of basic earnings/(loss) per share for the year ended 31st 
 December 2002 is based on the consolidated net profit attributable to 
shareholders of approximately HK$11,909,000 (2001: net loss of 
approximately HK$68,698,000) and the weighted average number of 
336,587,142 shares (2001: 336,587,142 shares) in issue during the year.

Diluted earnings per share is not presented as there is no dilutive effect 
on the earnings per share for 2002.
